Alison Moyet Bronx Concert reviews
Not all it could have been
Alison is a phenomenal singer, and I truly enjoy her voice. However, the live performance left me somewhat disappointed because the first half was quite boring and unengaging. She made up some brownie points during the second half of the performance.
Her choice of songs did not connect well with most of the fans who sat in frustration while she and her associate singer sang opera. Alison did not interact with her audience, except during one split second when she wished lovers a Happy Valentines Day. She basically sang two songs, got off the stage as two other performers took her place, and then would return to sing two more songs.
Thank God that she finished strong with popular songs to which the audience connected. Overall, Alison is a superb singer, but the entertainment quality of her show leaves much to be desired.
I will continue to buy and enjoy her music via CD's, radio, etc., but you will not catch me paying $387.00 per ticket to see her live performance again.
